Someone has the .com version of my .co.uk store but when u type it in, it changes to another name?

If that makes sense?

So say my online store is mybusiness.co.uk. The .com domain is unavailable. When you type in mybusiness.com the url changes from mybusiness.com to myshop.com and the business is also called myshop.co. - nothing to do with the name mybusiness.com!

So why and how did the domain name change? Why didn't they just buy a new domain in the new name?

I have never encountred this before - where the domain name changes from what you put it?

That's normal. The company I work for has the domain names compname.com, compname.co.uk, othername.com and othername.co.uk all of which point to compname.co.uk

It's just all about where the domain name points.

Not uncommon for a domain name to change in this way. Can cause alarm in the minds of novices who automatically think they've got a virus
the company who have the domain must have it pointing to another domain that they own.

so instead of going from a to c,it goes a to b to c,thats all it is
