Hello! Within a year of two I was hoping to purchase an insurance agency here in Texas. The owner will be retiring within a year and I've spoken with him several times about possibly purchasing the agency. We've already gone over the specifics and everything. I just wanted to know how hard it might be to change the name of the agency? Any help would be appreciated!
How hard would it be to rename a business?
You'll have to change the name legally, change the tax information, change the name on the contracts, and the licenses.
It can be done, and it's done regularly . . . but could adversely affect the book of business.
