(havnt started yet). do i write a letter, do it in person, is it a amendment, addendum, or modification to the original contract? i hope this get to some people who know and can help. any info is great.
Construction contract?
I have administered federal construction contracts. You will have to submit to the contracting authority your new business name and federal id number. You do not have to do an addendum to the contract. A new W-9 form will also have to be completed. .
Construction contract?
Its a contract adendum, and you don't have to do it in person, however it will help avoid confusion if you do go in. Good Luck!
A letter or personal visit would probably do the trick, but I guess that all depends on whom your dealing with. I don't know the legal requirements for changing the name of your company.

However, an addendum would probably be your best bet, just to cover your *** (I assume you know that government contracts tend to become finicky).
