my boyfriend of 6 1/2 years and the father of my almost 4 yr old is going to fight me on changing my son's last name from his to mine! He does not have that much $$, i do so i can hire a good lawyer if i have too but i do not think he will take it that far since we live together. I live with my dad and daughter, as well. I have two sons. Both from different fathers. The first I was married to and when my son was born he was put on the birth certificate after he signed paternity. My son is now 8 yrs old and does not want his fathers last name. He wants mine. If you were to get sole custody that would absolve the men from ever having to pay child support, which is to the detriment of the child so the state would not allow this. But also it would be stripping the legal connection the children have with their dads. If the dad won the lottery and died your children would have no rights to that money because they would no longer be a legitimate child. There are many men currently paying child support for children that aren't even biologically theirs because the child was concieved during marriage and the state will not step in because they will NOT make a bastard out of your children, and they will not permit you to.
The children were given a name at birth and that is their name. The only reason a court would consider changing this is if there was an adoption by a different male or a misspelling on the original birth certificate.
In short, you have no shot of accomplishing either of these things because you have no legal right to.

I'd like to register a name idea for a possible future business ( for the website later) or just to sell the name if I change my mind %26amp; someone wants to buy the name. However, I don't really know how it works to register it. I've been notified by another company's law firm that my business name is infringing on their trademark. Most of my business is generated online and the domain name bears the name that's trademarked.

The business claims to be a well-known and respected networking tool for business professionals. They have already been reported to the Better Business Bureau, and the complaints are staggering. Just make sure you remember to change your Bank details along with it because you may get investigated for fraud, whether or not you actually commit it. Two names are a red flag for the Swine.
In my state, i simply petition the court, through my attorney, to change my name. I have to run this notice in the newspaper for a specified period of time under Public Notices, unless this name change is petitioned on base of protection for me in cases of abuse, etc. The only thing I would let you know is that I have talked to a few people about how changing your name can be a huge red flag for other agencies like the IRS, DMV, etc. Since 9/11, name changes came bring unwanted attention to you in all government agencies atleast in my state. It has to be drawn up in a set format (see my sources about the statutory declaration for more info), and has to be witnessed by either a solicitor or a magistrates court. There may be a small fee for this service, but may be cheaper than a deed poll if you draw it up yourself.

Your only options at this point is:
A) Open that Business account, even if its a DBA (you might even see if your bank can make an exception and simply 'add' the DBA to your personal account and go from there...)
B) Go back to whomever wrote the check and have them re-issue the check in your name alone.

let me explain. Recently a board of directors that i've hand-picked has been helping me to start a non-profit organization for charity. I have of course met with lawyers for certain aspects of the planning, but the money is coming out of my pocket right now and i cant afford to consult with them for little issues like this. here's the problem: i filed (well mailed) the certificate of incorporation today. about ten minutes back from the post office, it caught my attention that i could register my business name with the secretary of state, however in the state of ohio the name must include inc., incorporated, co., coorporation, etc. In my articles of incorporation i did not include this title. my question is how difficult would it be to to change the name to include inc. now? could i register the name with the secretary to include inc. and worry about changing it on my certificate later?
and if anyone wanted to address if i have to wait for my articles of incorporation to be filed before i mail the ss-4 for an employer identification number i wouldnt mind....
p.s. im only 16. while i expect many people will underestimate the possibility of my success due to this fact, im mentioning it because my resources are limited and im not above taking any help that i can get. any addition information/advice would be much appreciated. thanks!

BIG malware problem URGENT HELP PLEASE!!!?
I have a problem. My computer is completely controlled by a malware program. Here's what's going on:
- The computer does not start normally. Since the last time i had it on it was shut down incorrectly, the screen showing me my start-up options shows up. If I try any of the following (Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with C.P., or the %26quot;start Windows normally%26quot; option) it restarts. The only way it does start is if I use the last settings that worked option.
- When I start and log in, the usual bombardment of malware pop-ups begin. Ads claiming my computer is infected, fake system scans, etc. Whenever I had this problem before, I relied on Malwarebyte's or ComboFix to remove the Malware. Hijackthis doesn't seem to cut it anymore. I've been doing the whole file name changing business and everything to make them work, but with this, its a whole new ball game.
- Whenever I try to open anything other than a folder, absolutely anything, (any %26quot;.exe%26quot;) a small message pops up in the right hand corner telling me that the file I'm trying to open is infected and that I need to run the %26quot;anti virus%26quot; program.
I am completely lost here. If I can't even open a Notepad file, let alone access the internet, how in the hell am I supposed to get rid of this crap??

I would run a system restore or re install the OS. If you dont mind loosing all your files, look for the factory default settings disk inside the box the computer came in and pop it in. Then either run it from the OS or when you boot up, press f8 repetedally.

1. insert the XP disk. this should allow you to start command prompt. open command prompt, and type:
cd %26quot;c:\documents and settings\all users\desktop%26quot;
press enter.
you can run your exe files here. I put you in the desktop. now, type the exe file you want to run and press enter. to view notepad files, put the word type before the file name. now you can probably run malwarebytes and delete this garbage from the system.
the proper name for this infection is: smitfraud

from the time i entered a contract to perfrom work for a school, i hae since changed my business name and federal id # (changed from corp to LLC). i want to know how to go about notifying the school about the change and get paid under the new name when i start the work. This may sound like it%26#039;s none of my business but I feel like it is because I care about my brother and don%26#039;t want to see his marriage split. So I am adding a few more access points to the business that I work at. The ones that are already installed are all named with the company's name. So when you look for the network, it shows up as the business's name. The new ones that I am installing are all showing up as D-Link. How do I change the names of the access points from D-Link to the name of the business?

this is something that I have always wanted to do. Problem is I don鈥檛 know where to go from here. I have a new name, logo and stationary that I will not be using until Jan 1st. The problem is with my website. It is going to get a slight revamp, obviously the name and logo will be changed and the. Co.uk will be new.

In the interim you can have the site pointing to your existing one, or with coming soon on your homepage with a link to your existing site.
As the site doesn't exist yet then it's not worth paying to list it or advertise it anywhere else yet, what you should do in the interim is work out exactly where you are going to list it, open a google ad words account work out how you are going to drive traffic to the site via your marketing funnel (look that up) etc.

Give visitors some information on there about what you do and you can link it to your existing site until you've completed the transition.

How do I change the name of the main folder thing on my computer?
I took my laptop to a shop and got ripped off by having them charge me $150 and erase my laptop without my consent, and then re do everything again without my consent. And the main part of my computer now says Jassica-PC/Jassica
I was able to change the name to Jessica-PC, but the main folder still says Jassica and it won't just let me rename. It's the folder that holds all documents in my Desktop, Pictures, Favorites, Contacts, etc..how can I change it to say %26quot;Jessica%26quot;.
P.S. I reported the shop to the better business bureau, not very happy with them.

I live in a small rural town that has been economic %26amp; socially depressed for a number of years. There are business groups trying to revitalize the town but I feel a marketing change is really needed and want to change the name of the town to appeal as a tourist destination and eliminate negativity associated from other neighbouring towns.

Hello, I have a Limited Liability Company and I haven't really been doing any business for a while but now it is picking back up and I want to change the name. I'm not sure why I ever named it what I did, haha. Anyway, please let me know if you have any information on changing an LLC's name in Alabama. Hello! Within a year of two I was hoping to purchase an insurance agency here in Texas.
