On yahoo email, how do you change the id shown that identifies that the email is coming from you.?

My personal email was tide with work. I left that place of business and they hijacked my personal account. I have since with yahoo's help retrieved it back. But if you receive an email from me it has the business name on the receiving end. I want it to be my id. But I can't figure out in my profile where to change the name. Help?
On yahoo email, how do you change the id shown that identifies that the email is coming from you.?
You just need to change the %26quot;from line%26quot; setting.

Mail page%26gt;%26gt;options (top right)%26gt;%26gt;mail options%26gt;%26gt;and the %26quot;general%26quot; page opens.

At the top of that page----erase the name that shows on the %26quot;From line%26quot; and type in something else---a nickname or your own name---- or whatever suits you-----then click %26quot;save%26quot; changes at the top or bottom of page.

Just an idea%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;(might not apply)

but while you're on the %26quot;general%26quot; page----you might want to check out the %26quot;reply to%26quot; setting (under the from line setting). IF there's anything on that line---erase it, and leave it blank. That's to insure that all %26quot;replies%26quot; (to emails you send)come to your account----and not to the previous business that you worked at.

Just thinking they may have changed it so they could get any replies sent to you.

Then click %26quot;save%26quot; when you're finished on the general page.

Just in case you're using the %26quot;New Mail%26quot;.

Mail page%26gt;%26gt;options%26gt;%26gt;mail options%26gt;%26gt;accounts (side panel)%26gt;%26gt;add/edit an account%26gt;%26gt;Yahoo mail (side panel)%26gt;%26gt;edit%26gt;%26gt;general preferences----and change it and save it.

CHANGE %26quot;FROM%26quot; NAME IN YAHOO MAIL

1. Click on the %26quot;Options%26quot;, Mail Options link in the upper right of your yahoo mail page.

2. At the top of the %26quot;General%26quot; page that opens, click in the box across from %26quot;From.%26quot; Delete whatever is in there, and enter a nickname or whatever you would like displayed in outgoing mail.

4. Most important, go to the top left and click the Save Changes icon.
